My logo for the event Warp 20 took the typographic part of the updated logo and added it to the number 20. The slope on top of the '20' and the forms of the numbers were both inspired by the brutalist architecture and placement of Park Hill, along with Sheffield's industrial heritage.
The name Warp 20 was derived from a selection of Warp compilation albums called Warp 10 which were released on Warp’s 10th anniversary in 1999, so choosing the same name was not such a large coincidence.
Two of the A1 fly posters I produced to promote Warp 20, using images from around the iconic Park Hill estate in Sheffield. This was where the event was based for the purposes of the brief, and also the location Warp chose to hold their Warp Films event for their 20th anniversary party.
Here is a selection of postcard sized flyers I created to advertise the event.
Three alternative flyer front designs
Flyer rear
Again, elements from the Park Hill building have been used as backgrounds with the recognisable Warp purple colourway. Although there are three different front designs, the same image would be used on the rear of all flyers.
As a promotional item for Warp 20, I decided to produce rolls of sticky tape as an alternative to stickers. Being quite eye catching, this could work well in outdoor urban street settings and would be intended to spread as viral marketing to promote the event.
